Your Inner World Is A Universe Worth Exploring

Radical, direct, and affirming therapy for those who value presence over performance.

A young woman with glasses and long red hair stands smiling in front of a colorful graffiti mural on a brick wall. The mural features purple mushrooms against a bright green background. To her right, there is a door covered with various tags, graffiti, and stickers, including a sticker that reads 'NOTICE: Employees Only.' She is wearing a gray cardigan, light gray turtleneck, dark green skirt, black tights, and black combat boots, standing on a concrete sidewalk with green grassy area in the background.

I’m Aimee (they/she), your friendly neighborhood queer and disabled therapist, admitted journaling and stationery addict, strawberry matcha connoisseur, loving wife, and cat and dog mom to a wild tortie calico and weenie dog.

I specialize in working with queer and trans folks, as well as folks navigating religious trauma, complex trauma, identity work, and substance abuse/misuse.

You deserve a space where you can show up fully and feel affirmed and validated. I am excited to be your groovy new therapist and show you that I am on your team all the way!

Let’s be honest… What do you see when you look in the mirror?

A large mural on the side of a brick building that reads, "How are you, really?" in black letters on a white background.
  • Do you see someone you don’t even know anymore?

  • Do you see someone with no depth or purpose?

  • Do you see someone who aches for their trauma to be healed?

  • Do you see someone who craves desire and passion in relationships?

  • Do you see someone who is coming to terms with their mortality?

  • Do you see someone who is not connected to their higher self?

  • A soft place to land as you explore your gender. I’m here for the tangible and the tender—experimenting with clothes and haircuts that feel like you, helping you find affirming, trustworthy providers, and making space to process it all: the euphoria, the grief, and everything in between.

  • Need someone who actually gets purity culture—and how religious spaces can leave lasting wounds? I’m here to help you unpack the fear, shame, and “fire and brimstone” messaging, along with those confusing, intense church camp experiences, so you can make sense of what happened and reclaim your own voice.

  • If you’re exhausted from putting everyone else first and losing yourself in the process, this is a space to come back to you. Together, we’ll explore how boundaries show up in your life—where they feel hard, where they’ve been crossed, and how to begin honoring your own needs without guilt. You deserve to care for yourself, too.

  • We move at your pace—slow, intentional, and grounded in your sense of safety. You stay in control of what we explore and when. In that kind of space, deeper processing can unfold gently, helping you feel more at ease in your body and more connected to yourself.

  • Figuring out who you are can feel overwhelming, disorienting, even a little wild at times. You don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to explore it with you—who you are, what matters to you, and how you want to move through the world—so you can build a life that actually feels meaningful and aligned.

  • Just got out of rehab and feeling unsteady or unsure what comes next? You don’t have to navigate early recovery alone. This is a space to build steady, healthier ways of coping, make sense of what you’ve been through, and reconnect with who you are—so your recovery feels grounded, supported, and truly yours.

Here are a few personally important quotes that inform my therapy practice:

“The Highest Order prevails even in the disintegration. The totality is present even in the broken pieces. More clearly present, perhaps, than in a completely coherent work.”
Aldous Huxley,
The Doors of Perception

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed.”
Terence McKenna

“Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only Beauty. There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”
― Oscar Wilde,
The Picture of Dorian Gray

Like a geometer wholly dedicated
to squaring the circle, but who cannot find, think as he may, the principle indicated-

so did I study the supernal face.
I yearned to know just how our image merges into that circle, and how it there finds place;

but mine were not the wings for such a flight. Yet, as I wished, the truth I wished for came cleaving my mind in a great flash of light.

Here my powers rest from their high fantasy, but already I could feel my being turned — instinct and intellect balanced equally

as in a wheel whose motion nothing jars-
by the Love that moves the Sun and the other stars.”
Dante Alighieri,
The Divine Comedy – Paradiso

“The only devils in this world are those running around in our own hearts, that is where the battle should be fought.”
Mahatma Gandhi
